Judith is currently making a series of explorations into the qualities of found and new materials. Judith allows the qualities of a material to guide the making of the work as she works with or against its properties. This process may prompt an investigation of lightness, translucency, opacity, weight, texture, sharpness, softness, bending, edges, suspension, or the capacity for movement. Any one exploration or prototype may lead to the development of an idea that can be used at the scale of a piece of jewellery or an architectural design
